The education in America has both its upsides and downsides. One thing American schools can be really good at is encouraging students to follow their interests. For instance, if you like sports, a school will have several sports programs. Or if your are into art, schools have theater and art classes. I think these kinds of extra activities are awesome to have at school. And being part of the programs can teach you so much more than just sitting in a classroom.

French scientists want to make healthy foods more flavorful

A diet containing less fat, sugar or salt is often recommended to many to ensure good health. But the downside of those diets might mean having to eat foods that really don't taste so good. Now, French scientists say they are working on a device that could help diners on restrictive diets enjoy  the full flavor of their favorite foods and still eat healthfully. The device they call GCOAT allows scientists to isolate specific aroma molecules associated with the full-flavored food. When you eat, your taste buds allow you to sense sweet, sour, salty, bitter and savory tastes.
